Mary Oliver Writing Workshop

In this self-guided writing workshop, we’ll explore the poetry (and legacy!) of Mary Oliver while developing your own writing practice. We will explore life and love through Mary’s work, learning to notice, to listen, to look again.

Through guided prompts, you’ll be invited into your own writing practice through deep listening and observation of life’s most tender details. This writing workshop is open to everyone. You don’t need to be a published writer, have a project in progress, or be familiar with Mary Oliver’s work.

Like all Doula of Words offerings, this is a warm, inclusive, and generative writing space. This workshop is meant to be taken at your own pace. By downloading the workshop materials, you will have access to ten poems, multiple resources, and dozens of original, specially curated prompts — all based on Mary Oliver and her beautiful life.
