Food & Words…. (a love story)

Cooking has always been one of my greatest loves….

Believe it or not, I started my career as a writer while I was working as a professional chef! Since 2010, I have owned my own catering company, but before that, I worked as a line cook, prep cook, and all-around culinary wizard. My career as a chef took me all over the world and has to date been one of my greatest adventures. My love of strong flavours and classic cooking techniques will always burn very brightly, but these days, if you find me in the kitchen, I am likely there just having some fun!

My time as a chef provided me with ample expertise which I am bringing with me to the Doula of Words. I will use my 15 years in the industry to help chefs launch their cookbooks and culinary memoirs. My favourite cookbooks have always been the ones where the personal history behind each recipe is shared with the reader.
