I’ve been a lover of words for as long as I can remember.
By the time I decided I wanted to write a book, I had no idea that words would someday be my career. But once I got serious about writing, I started to realize that writing is what I want to do, every day. Since I made that leap, writing has become more than a passion - it has become my vocation! Making a living with writing isn’t always easy, but I have loved every minute of it. I get the most joy and fulfillment when I help others say what they are trying to say with the power of carefully selected word choices. I do this in several ways:
Copywriting is when I help people/companies market themselves through their online and print spaces. This can include creating content for social media posts/ads, as well as writing gorgeous content for websites, book covers, blogs, etc. I’ve had some really cool jobs in this field including for a vegan dog food company, a Tokyo-based cast iron grill maker, and more!
Copyediting is similar, but this is when content has already been created, or partially created, and needs some TLC. I have helped curate a bunch of new content for various businesses all over the world including an intuitive eating coach, a boudoir photographer, an Australian-based fitness company, and more!
Freelancing: is when I create content for just about anything else… an individual might come to me to write a whole blog post or an article for their publication. I usually get these jobs through UpWork and am currently a writer for Chef’s Pencil and The Bean Poet.
