Body Workshop
What can we say about the body? This workshop is a space for you to find out. Whether you love your body, hate your body, or are somewhere in the middle. Maybe you want to write about body image or body neglect or physical pain or transformation… this is the workshop for you!
During these four weeks, you will hear poems on the theme of body. You will be invited into your own writing practice through the observation, speculation, vulnerability, and curiosity. Like all writing circles with Doula of Words, this workshop is a safe, generative, welcoming, and warm environment, which is open to all. You don't have to be a published writer or be working on something specific to find a home with us. After signing up, there is nothing you need to be or do. I’ll be sending you an email before we start, inviting you to introduce yourself the group, and then we’ll get started.
This workshop is for those who would like to take this workshop privately, at their own pace. Every week for five weeks you will receive an email packet that includes a video and several prompts to write to. You will also receive loads of resources and have access to a beautiful community of other writers who are exploring body just like you! Take this workshop at your own pace, in the comfort of your own space, and share as little or as much as you want.

Folx with wide open or sealed shut wounding on the subject of worth & body image
Anyone who is willing to explore their body as home, or their body as homesick
People who want to dismantle the patriarchy & reach into the depths of internalized misogyny in a safe container
Witchy folx who aren't afraid of a little moon magic & fire
Women who run from or toward the stories they've been told about their bodies
Anyone who wants to heal and play through storytelling, art, and community
